Thanks Rob, it took some time as I've never really had to think about a logo for myself but I'm happy with the end result and hopefully I can create a decent online space for myself now.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I knew I'd left a few of those out there but his older work in particular is the style that sticks in my memory.

Yeah it's such a shame they resort to as you so aptly put it 'shiny happy cookie cutter garbage' when there's so much talent out there ready to create a fantastic piece of artwork for a film.

Agree 100% , I loved Titan A.E and all the other films here. You also forgot Bluths most critically received work " Anastasia " ironically his closest to the Disney format. I think part of the problem is he was ahead of his time, Manga and anime was still semi underground ( I remember having to order in shops any manga weeks in advance and paying double for what a normal video was) , Don's darker style was never appreciated because people by large were still thinking animation was for kids. Today obviously everyone's heard/ seen Akira and with 3d animation a lot of films are aimed at adults and kids.

With the cover art...blame the ad agencies, even Disney films I've noticed have a poor copy on the cover of the actual film ( Mulan special edition) . The same for a lot of my old anime now re released * twitches at the recent images on some DBZ dvd's*

Thankfully Bluth now teaches animation, so his legacy lives on and he can inspire some real artists who wont churn out shiny happy cookie cutter garbage

These are Fantastic! Difficult to choose favourites but ones I like best are Monkey, Cat, Penguin, Bearly Awake and Petfoto....I think with Bearly Awake being my favourite.

I love the lastminute.com life board - that is a cracking idea. Interactive advertising campaigns appeal to me too. I remember coco-pops changed the name of their product after allowing their customers to vote for two options, and more recently the public has been able to vote on the outcome of BT adverts. Both Catchy and Interactive are good ways of building awareness and interest, although interactive may be better for gaining long term brand advocates as they are engaging more positively with the brand. Just a thought.
